Joseph joined Cowling Swift & Kitchin in October 2023 as an Associate. Joseph has over 15 years of experience, qualifying as a solicitor in February 2008. Joseph read law at Leeds Metropolitan University (now known as Leeds Beckett University) and graduated in 2004 with a LLB (Hons) Law degree.

Joseph offers a full range of property services to his clients but specialises in the following areas:

  • Acting for local, regional and national developers on both residential and commercial developments. This work includes:
    • Site acquisitions whether by way of conditional sale agreements, option agreements or promotion agreements
    • Exclusivity agreements
    • Joint venture and collaboration agreements for all forms of development work.
    • Overage agreements
    • Amenity land disposals
    • Estate setup
  • Acting for local, regional and national businesses in varying sectors, with a focus on retail and manufacturing. This work includes:
    • Assisting a business’ expansion with site acquisitions, whether by a purchase or a new lease of new premises.
    • Finance agreements
    • Carrying out the necessary property work when a business needs to restructure, be it selling premises, surrendering leases or inter-company transfers within the group structure.
    • Dealing with the business’ existing portfolio of premises with lease renewals and rent reviews.
  • Residential conveyancing when required by his client base, particularly dealing with:
    • Buy to let portfolios.
    • High value and / or complicated residential property transactions.
